Mark becomes coordinating lead author for IPBES assessment

Mark Rounsevell has been selected as a coordinating lead author (CLA) of the IPBES* thematic assessment of the interlinkages among biodiversity, water, food and health (known as the nexus assessment). The nexus assessment will assess the state of knowledge on past, present and possible future trends in these multi-scale interlinkages, with a focus on biodiversity and nature’s contributions to people, to inform the development of policies and actions. Mark will co-lead Chapter 3 on: Future interactions across the nexus. The chapter will assess different types of scenarios of the future for the nexus issues, including climate change adaptation and mitigation and relevant aspects of the energy system.
