Joanna Raymond

Joanna Raymond joined the Land Use Change and Climate Research Group as a Postdoctoral Researcher in November 2022. She has an interdisciplinary background, having received an MSci in Natural Sciences (Physics and Maths) from the University of Nottingham and has recently completed a PhD in agrometeorology at the University of East Anglia. Working with plant breeders and meteorologists, Joanna used statistical modelling to quantify how changes in climate and genetics have affected UK cereal crops. Joanna’s research interests encompass a range of human-environment interactions, in particular how we can feed the growing global population in the context of a rapidly changing climate whilst encouraging biodiversity and minimising our environmental and climate impact.
